Mono Pot — Large Handcrafted Terracotta Water Pot
Details
The Mono Pot asks very little of you. It does not need arranging, styling, or context. It simply needs a place in your home, and it does the rest. Soul Of Soil’s hand-formed large terracotta water pot carries a quiet presence — a piece whose craft is its statement, whose material is its argument, and whose purpose is as timeless as water itself.
Hand-formed by master artisan potters in Rajasthan using techniques built over generations, the Mono Pot takes considerably longer to shape, dry, and fire than any standard piece in the collection. At this scale, the clay’s behaviour in the kiln is unpredictable in ways that only experience can navigate — which is why the ones that emerge intact are worthy of the name. Not every firing produces one. Those that survive are exceptional.
Fill it with fresh water and let natural terracotta do what it has done for centuries — cool water gently through the porous nature of clay, keeping it fresh and pleasant to drink. Place it in a kitchen, dining area, verandah, or hospitality space. Its matte unglazed surface grounds any environment with the warmth that only handcrafted clay can bring.
A singular object for thoughtful spaces. Handcrafted, never mass-produced, limited by the patience of fire.
