A sphere is the hardest form in clay. It has no edges, no corners, no transitions to hide the work or forgive the inconsistency. Every millimetre of surface is visible, and everything shows. To form one by hand at this scale takes a level of mastery that cannot be taught quickly — it must be accumulated, slowly, over years of understanding how clay moves, how it dries, and how it behaves in the kiln. Many do not survive. The ones that do are exceptional, and they are exactly that — exceptions.

Place it on a floor, a plinth, a garden path, or a large shelf. It needs nothing around it, and it improves everything near it. The natural terracotta surface, warm and matte and unglazed, grounds any space it occupies with a physical presence that no manufactured object can replicate — because this is not manufactured.
