terracotta-square-wall-clock-leaf-heart-relief-13-inch
Terracotta Square Wall Clock — Leaf & Heart Relief, No Numbers

Most wall clocks fade into the background within a day of being hung. This one is built specifically not to. It functions as much as wall sculpture as it does a working timepiece — a square clay face carrying a hand-carved relief of leaf and heart forms radiating outward from each corner, with fine textured line-work filling in the spaces between them. There’s an almost Art Deco confidence to the geometry, though the actual carving language stays distinctly organic and Indian in feel.

Leaving off printed or raised numerals was a deliberate choice rather than something simplified away. Time reads through two slim black hands set against the warm terracotta surface, which keeps the whole face clean enough to suit modern and minimalist interiors without a hint of clutter. The real payoff shows up over the course of a day — the relief carving catches shifting light and shadow as the sun moves, giving the clock a constantly changing visual texture that a printed or metal face simply can’t produce.

Hand-formed and kiln-fired from natural terracotta clay, fitted with a dependable silent quartz movement so there’s no audible ticking undercutting the quiet visual statement. At a larger 13-inch scale, this reads as a genuine statement piece rather than a supporting one, which makes it a strong pick for anyone furnishing a room that could use one confident anchor object.

A distinctive gift for housewarmings and weddings specifically — the kind of piece that gets remembered rather than immediately forgotten among a stack of other gifts.

Material — Natural terracotta clay, hand-formed, kiln-fired

Motif — Hand-carved leaf and heart relief

Face style — Bare — no numerals

Movement — Silent quartz, battery-run (1 AA)

Good for — Living rooms, studies, modern interiors, gifting

Wall sculpture that happens to also tell the time.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0929/2968/7799/files/pomelli_photoshoot-1_854600ed-cfa8-4fb4-9ca7-82afd6bb4d1c.jpg?v=1777207831
